SO TRUE

I have found this quote from Nelson Mandela so true.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”-Nelson Mandela

WINTER'S TALE

Whats good wit cha!
It has been snowing here in good ole Mizzou and it is a first for me to see it snow like this before christmas. Plus, There has been ice on the ground and it is not fun to walk on or drive on. I tried to drive on it last week and sild across the parking lot (good thing no cars were in the way). After I sild sideways I just put the car in park and said that was enough for today. I later learned that the gas pedal and ice dont go well together. Overall, the snow has been beautiful and it looks like christmas here, unlike the traditional florida christmas I am use to.
I even had my first dance-off! Yes I am 1-0 (check facebook to see my fabaulous finishing move). The crowd loved my skills! And I also won the guitar hero contest! (Shout out to my hero, Lindsay). You guys defintely missed me rocking out!
I went to South Dakota were out football team was playing in the NAIA football finals. It was SO COLD that by the end of the game my feet and the tips of my fingers were frozen. It is pretty hard to walk when you can't feel your feet or toes. Also, there was nothing there!(Great vacation spot!)
I finshed my exams for grad classes. I am happy to say that I am finished with my first semester as a glad student. (YAY) It has given some ideas of maybe starting a school in a country where they need schools, or even in the states somewhere. Or maybe even a afterschool program or even being the director of a Boys and Girls club, but we will see what happens. My to two classes this semester was school law and school facilities which I learned about getting funding, building, managing a school. in school law we talked about how to legally become a school and its process. Plus, other legal topics the are in the school system. My friend, SAM, and I have talked about the whole school thing and he is from africa, which he has been talking me about africa and the education system there in Africa.
I have shocking fell in love with the piano and I learning to play from one of the guys I met up here. So, maybe one day I can be as good as Scott Joplin. It is really fun!
Well til next time ya'll stay up!
